March showers, April flowers, is that how it goes? We’ve had the 3rd wettest March in history. My sunflowers bring a little sunshine into my life, drip, drip.

On top is what was intended to be our holiday sunflower painting. (Allan and I have painted sunflowers for our Christmas card for two years now). But the fact that I never finished it until March pretty much ruled that out. The most important thing is that I finished it!

I’m much more inspired by Allan’s sunflower. He painted it a couple years ago, and I fell in love. It hung on our wall unframed until this month when I fulfilled my New Year’s resolution to frame it. It’s beautiful. I love it. It’s after Van Gogh, in case you hadn’t guessed.

The holiday sunflowers hang in our stairwell. This one will join 2009 and 2008 as soon as it dries.
