Eclectic and Colorful Art Style!
I paint in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. My style is eclectic. Even though each painting may be distinctly different in style, theme or medium, my goal is to capture one reflective moment, punctuated with symbolic elements, where viewers can find a connecting emotional bond.
I studied fine art, art history, painting and printmaking in college, but I’ve been self-taught for most of my career. In my experience, university coursework doesn’t teach you how to paint. It teaches you what art means in the context of religion, history, society and the economy.
My fundamental understanding of what art is, along with having seen the world’s best paintings in museums across the globe, continues to provide me with a foundation on which to build my own style.
I grew up knowing I was going to be an artist. Other girls focused on boys, games, and fashion, but my artistically eccentric French mother sat me in front of an easel and made me paint. It seemed a burden. I’ve come to realize it left me with the quintessential confidence that no matter where life took me, art would always be at my side. For that, I will always be grateful.
I love to work with customers to create custom artwork. I’ve created many pieces for discerning collectors, including travel scenes, industrial subjects, pets, posthumous portraits, history scenes, and more. My artwork can be licensed for commercial print publication.
Please contact me with any questions regarding my artwork, including sales of paintings, licensing of my artwork, or custom commissions. I look forward to hearing from you!
