2003 | original oil painting by Marie Wise | 14 x 18 framed | $150
A once familiar landmark, the Trojan Nuclear Power Plant cooling tower stood from 1975 to 2006. On May 21, 2006, Marie watched from her neighborhood as a dynamite implosion flattened the tower forever.
The brush strokes in this painting are thick, loose and impressionist, capturing the tower as it stood prior to being demolished in 2006.
The painting was done on a cotton canvas panel, and is available in a 1-3/4-inch wide, curved oak wooden frame.
